Infrastructure & Balanced Regional Development

Ireland needs the necessary infrastructure to support business development.

Connectivity is a vital component to global business, AmCham continues to advocate for greater investment in air-travel, roads and transport infrastructure to connect Ireland’s regional hubs. Additionally, the further development of Ireland’s energy and water infrastructure will be core in supporting future business needs.

AmCham considers an accelerated roadmap for the competition of the National Broadband Plan central to Ireland’s digital infrastructure strategy. It has also advocated for improved citizen access to public services and increased cyber security through the implementation of a “cloud first” policy which would require public bodies to first consider uploading their information to the public cloud.
