AmCham was delighted to welcome the senior leaders from member companies in the South-West region to a roundtable discussion this week.

Members were kindly hosted by AmCham's Chair of the Southern Region, Paul Kelleher, Site Lead and VP of Engineering, Qualcomm, at the Qualcomm offices in Cork.

The roundtable focused on identifying opportunities and challenges relating to infrastructure, talent, regional development and investment in the South-West region. Members exchanged views and were provided with an overview of AmCham advocacy activities on these issues.

Members heard from AmCham CEO, Paul Sweetman on 'AmCham’s 2025-2027 Strategy: ‘Competing for the Future', and he highlighted AmCham’s key priorities over the next three years to ensure the continued growth of the two-way, US-Ireland business relationship.

Members also heard from AmCham Director of Public Affairs and Advocacy, Colm O’Callaghan, on the key challenges and opportunities for business in the context of geopolitical changes and new administrations in the US, the EU and here in Ireland.

AmCham’s Director of Membership Engagement, Miriam O’Keeffe, discussed with members the various ways that their teams can engage with and benefit from their membership of AmCham, including through participation on Programmes and Networks, attending events, and availing of advocacy updates to assist in messaging to key stakeholders.

During the event, AmCham was also delighted to share its 2025 US Business in Ireland’ Special Report' in the Irish Examiner with attendees.

The 64-page supplement features contributions from AmCham 2025 President, Liz Cunningham, AmCham CEO, Paul Sweetman, and AmCham Southern Region Chair, Paul Kelleher, as well as contributions from senior leaders within AmCham member companies on Ireland’s unique business relationship with the US and why Ireland remains a destination of choice for US multinationals.
